Who are you and what do you do?
I am Robert Leat and I am a personal trainer who specialises in helping busy professionals and business owners to drop body fat, improve their confidence and reduce stress.
How have you found your start-up journey so far?
It’s been full of ups and downs but I love what I do! It’s a great feeling being able to help so many people.
What do you listen to whilst you work?
I normally listen to a podcast. My ‘go to’ podcasts at the moment are either the Tim Ferris show or Jamie Alderton’s Mindset With Muscle.
What drives you to get up in the morning?
My passion for my business.
What three things can’t you live without?
Coffee, my phone and wifi…
What’s your best time-saving trick?
Scheduling social media posts and email marketing at the start of the week.
What have you learnt that you’d like others to know?
If you want to do well in business you need to learn to communicate well with other people.
Where do you see yourself and your business in 12 months?
In 12 months time I would like to be a fully-booked personal trainer on my way to opening my own studio and I would also like to have published my 2nd book.
The best advice you’ve ever received?
Stop being lazy and get up earlier!
